lets seee....
well i teach kids how to snowboard at the mountain i go to and while we were in for a hot coco break i slid across the bench and got the WORST splinter in my ass (not even, more way-upper thigh so it was impossible for me to inspect it) made alittle scene, but it was all good cos i just kept swiping a credit card over it XD also another while actually on the mountain: that big snowstorm that hit the east last weekend brought my mountain about ~3ft of fresh powder but at some points there were snow drifts up to your neck. well i got caught in the power in a flat glade so i unstrapped and as i tried to walk through the neck deep powder i was like "screw it, ill do better if i just throw my board over there and swim out" well i threw my board and it somehow sunk ALLLLLL the way in the powder and i spent an extra 10 minutes just trying to locate my board and dig it out |

I will chalk my earlier days of riding accidents to being a noob, but the other day I did something I shoulda known better about.
Was at Breck and went for a jump that had a tire on one side of it.. Hit the jump straight but I turned my body before I was off the ground and my board swiped the tire and it threw me around a little bit and right down onto my chest first. I just bounced and didn't slide.... Was the first spill that I can remember not being able to bounce right up from. The other would be when I got a concussion but I don't remember anything that happened. I've also gotten my beanie stolen by some trees and had to hike back to get it out of the tree |

Fucking A, i'm sure there's a word limit on posts...
Most recently, I took a chair that is super fast. When it was time to unload, I bitched out and didn't let go of the chair , so with my board moving but my left arm still on the seat, the chair whipped around and kicked my ass into happenstance 360 then a cartwheel....Fucking priceless...What an assclown, if I had just let go (and I know better than that stupid shit) I would have just cruised on down....made for some good comedy for people though.

A couple of weekends ago, I was trying to teach my fiancee's sister how to turn and carve without swaying your arms around by snowboarding with your hands on your knees. All was well going down a steep until I caught an edge on ice towards the bottom and bit it. She was like, "is that how it's supposed to go?" Gotta love sarcasm
![]() I've also caught my gloves on a lift before as I was getting off and ate snow for it. Gotta love those off-the-lift hijinks. |

I have a couple that are equally embarresing.
First was my 30th birthday last year, we had a preseason rail jam. Came off the rail weird, reached out to catch myself like an idiot and landed on my wrist. Didn't really hurt, so I unstrapped and hiked back up. Guy behind me in line "man your wrist isn't right". Looked down to see all the glory and a nice misformed wrist. Went to the hospital (drove a stick shift car home mind you), they basically said "oh it's just sprained, the swelling is all youre seeing, dont worry about it". Worked for 3 days, it still looked swollen but not terrible, didnt wear a splint even. Horrible pain set it, went to an orthopedic doc and he told me my wrist was broken in 3 places. The second was getting drunk at the ski resorts bar (dont worry I wasnt driving), we decided to go hit the park after drinking. Yeah enough said. Decided to try a misty/corked 5. Stuck upside down mid spin. Was only a 35 footer I think but it didnt feel too good. |

I was taking a friend through the Aspens and as I am looking over my shoulder telling her to pick her lines and focus her eyes on it, I finish saying it and look forward just in time to tag one myself.......lesson...practice what you preach! lol
