Getting a new Snowboard? Any recommendation for softer boards

I just got a Lib Tech TRS Firepower... I'm not liking the board as much as I thought I would... thinking about picking another board since it's the end of the season.

I feel like I would enjoy a softer board vs the TRS Firepower.. maybe my skill level isn't up there yet.

With that said... Im a boot size 8 with medium Union FC binding. the guy at the shop keep telling me to get a 149N Skate banana and said Id love it... i weight 135

Just want to get some more recommendations before i purchase my next board so I won't regret the purchase again.. I feel like i enjoyed the Salomon rental boards the most.. Have a lot of questions..

Im a beginner.
Is Narrow board better than regular since my boot size is only 8?
TRS Firepower feels like its too stiff for me but its rated a 5/6?
I mainly like to go park is 149 short enough for my weight? 135
What are good soft fun park boards I can consider that would fit my current setup?

I currently have:
Size 8 Adidas Energy Boost Boots
Union FC Binding - Medium

Thanks for your help in advance

I also hired a Salomon rental board this winter and liked it so much that I've ordered one. In my case it was their freeride "quattro" which would equate to the Salomon Derby. I'm not sure if you mean that the board you tried was one of Salomons rental models but if it was then you would probably find a very close equivalent in their retail range.

I'm not sure if you've already purchased another board but I have a T Rice Pro 155 and recently purchased a new Box Scratcher 151 because I wanted something for the resort & park with a bit more flex for butter tricks & presses. For my purpose, the Box Scratcher has been a blast to mess around on. I'm riding boxes and rails with more confidence and when I tear around the resort I feel the flex is great for landing most of the jumps I hit. When I play in the trees, the board feels so easy to throw around when I need to make tight last second turns. I'm really impressed with this board and it's my go to board when it's not an absolute powder day. I can't say enough good things about this board. I love it!
