My first tamahalk and it was right under the gondola of course. I put on a great show. You're welcome.
And a lovely head first slide that somehow landed me on my back and popped off one of my Flow bindings. Fn ice. Just kept sliding down down down.
Good times.
Oh and all of sudden my kids are faster than me. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?! I used to have to wait for them halfway but now THEY wait for ME at the bottom. WTF?!

It gets better....when ur re-hydrating after a long day, they come and get you at the bar and you get to take a nap while they drive you home. That was a happy day in my life.

I'm trying to get my wife to let my two kids (7 and 5) to learn snowboarding. She says hell no it's too dangerous and that they should learn to ski. I keep yelling "look at the stats! Skiing is more dangerous!" Not sure if that's true. How do I convince the wife to teach the kids one of the greatest joys in life?
Well it certainly doesn't hurt for them to learn both. There is another thread about kids titled "my kids suck" or something and some good discussion on this very topic.
My kids didn't learn until age 10 and 12 so I don't know much about teaching the smaller kids.

You have now arrived at the point where all your patience has paid off and you can now focus completely on your own riding. You will need to up your skill set as your kids will be wanting to take on harder and harder terrain in no time.
Great Job Mom. Now get going on your free ride & park skills.
How? You ride the bumps here in SO. A steady diet of 500 vertical does not get one in shape for a real mountain.
Keep riding and turning, you'll find your legs.
