Who here has ever slept in the car for a weekend trip? One or 2 nights. Cash is tight over the winter but I still wanna do a 2 day trip without paying for a hotel. I don't mind snoozin in the car. Do any of you guys/girls? Have you done it before?

its no big deal its not like its a question that gets asked all the time, and it was on the second page behind other threads that had nothing to do with the search "sleeping in the car" but here it is

Used to do it surfing when I was very young. Snow and cold seem to be a problem but I've been thinking about it more and more.
If you want to see some epic car sleeping (and riding), go to YouTube and search car danchi. You'll see serious Japanese powder and some guys who really live the life. I'm going to try to find this in Tokyo sometime this week. They look like seriously epic videos.

I never had to do it snowboarding, but I've spent a few nights in my car, 01 Golf and it does suck. Things will be much better when I get a good topper for my truck. I'm actually exited to sleep out in the cold in the back of my truck.

That is love of the sport. It gets seriously cold in the winter here. I rock a Suzuki mini-mini van. It's the same size as the Suzuki Kei-car van but with a larger engine. The larger (1200 cc) engine gets better mileage on the road. It's full-time AWD and gets well over 30 mpg. I can take 2 people with me or could do a little work and be a part-time danchi...if my boss would give me the time off.
