that might be true, but i can almost guarantee that not 'hunter' will pull out his hunting rifle on a human being. A lot of them carry hand guns too (for bear attacks), but from what I hear they rarely, to never get used.
I wouldn't draw on a similarity between guns and cars though... I mean; cars if used
improperly may result in death or serious injury, but that is hardly their purpose. Guns are made with the specific intent to kill, or otherwise injure something or someone... hardly the same.
Personally, I feel that no one should have the right to carry guns. Hunting rifles i can accept, cuz in some cases farmers need them to protect livestock, but since I'm against hunting and (almost) a vegetarian, i guess I'm biased
