So while I've been out with my broken arm, I've been thinking about snowboarding culture and I kinda stumbled upon something. "Snowboarders" who just board because they're total tools (as in they only do it because people think it's cool) TOTALLY ruin it for us real boarders, don't they? I'm talkin about the kids on the hill with $1,000 worth of equipment that they have no fuckin clue what to do with, who don't bother to go on forums and dedicate themselves any further than what is neccessary to look cool, who just sit at the top of the terrain park all day talking about what sick tricks they're about to go do, overusing the terms "dude", "brah," and "sick". And they never actually do anything. Then when someone falls, they scream "you suck!". I mean really are they only out there to ruin our day? They just crowd up the hills and ruin runs. No true boarders who just board because they love it ever do things like this. Then I realized something. Every sport that WAS original and only the increasingly rare non-tool did has been completely overrun by the least original people on earth (tools). I admit, one of my best friends is a total tool and only boards because it's cool. And has anyone noticed that tools who are actually good at snowboarding are total dicks? Ugh... ugh, ugh, ugh. Ugh. Is there any place that has few (or at least less than 90%) tools out there?

people that dont know me think that about me because my favorite hoodie is burton, and im always wearing it, lol. i know who your talking about- i come from a school full of rich bitches who think they are so awesome because they rented once. pisses me off too.
today a skater called me a poser. that completely pissed me off and i started making fun of his shitty DC board. next his drunk girlfriend comes up to me and called me a fag. at that point i just left ![]() if you dont want to run into tools, go live out west

lol yeh... another thing I hate about tools is how they ruin stuff like clothes for us. My anti-tool friend would be pissed if I bought any snowboarding jacket because it's now tool clothes. But if you buy it because you like it that's not being a tool.

I just think that if you like it theres nothing wrong or toolish about getting it because you're not getting it because other people will think you're cool.

This is why I ride weekdays instead of weekends.
I don't get the clothing hating though, if someone is knocking someone for what they decided at home to wear, then you clearly have either self-esteem issues or you belong on the queer eye show instead of on the mountain. |

Those people you don't like keep snowboarding in business. Those kids with 1000 dollar set ups keep my shop open, those idiots at the top of the park yelling allow me to spray them and release tension, those that don't come on forums save us from headaches. Think about the opposite side of the spectrum.
