Thumbs up ride along side your snowboarder with this!

Hi there,
I just wanted to share with you all, this great new mountain bike kit I bought ,so that I can ride alongside my son and husband in the snow! There are some resorts starting to let mountain bikers use these now ! It is the coolest thing! Its called a KTRAK. It just takes minutes to put on your bike and I am thinking eventually it would be nice to get one for the whole family, since you can use it in any type of snow! Check out their website :www.ktrakcycle.com
I just saw it featured on the Daily Planet show last night!
You can also google it to see videos and pics of it.
cheers everybody!

wouldn't it be much cheaper to buy a snowboard/ski setup and take lessons than the cost of that 'modification'? Also...how do you get it up the slope on a chair-lift

I would definitely hurt myself with a set up like that!

They let you use those things at the mountain? They look pretty cool, but I think I would avoid anything downhill on something like that. I can see myself dying pretty quickly on that contraption.

About $400 for the set...I dont even have a bike any more.
When I was younger I put a ski on the front of my bike and put studs in the rear, I was a bitch to ride.

There are a lot of lifts in Colorado that have bike hooks on them for the summer time. A good number of mountains out here have mountain bike trail systems for the summer. Without them it would be a pain in the ass for sure though.
