Air boarding - Snowboarding Forum

My place started it about 3 weeks ago and I think it sucks.For those who do not know it is a air filled sled with runners on the bottom.
These guys wear helmets, and chest protectors. You go down head first on your stomach and totally ignore everyone else on the hill and go every where

The worst part is they cut through our park and try to hit the features

These guys pay 59.00 for three hours of this... soo lame IMO.

What do you guys think of it.

Wow, that's a horrible activity. On a side note, that's a hell of a base for Cataloochee isn't it? It's been a while since I lived there, but I don't remember that kind of snow pack, at least for this time of year.

Hopefully it will gothe way of those stupid kite-tube things from a few years ago, couple people breaking thier necks and they'll be outlawed lol.

Wow I get pissed when noobs and skiers fuck the lips of jumps. I can't imagine how pissed I would be if I saw this.
It also seems very dangerous and easy for him to wipe out other people.

If snowboarders need leashes, what does this device require? Chains?

We file a complaint every time they do something stupid. I hope they just drop it soon.

When they get off the lift they take like two steps and dive on to their sled. Real safe

I just don't know how this crap gets past insurance and ski patrol

Once these people start running into rails and boxes and breaking their skulls maybe resort owners will get the point and end this.

I hate to say it, but what do you think skiiers said about us?

I'm not saying I agree with it, but who are we to judge....

Also I havn't seen them yet in CO, but I'm sure it won't be long

I can see where you're coming from but come on this is nothing like skiing vs. snowboarding, we both have our feet strapped into our respective boards. This thing looks like the skeleton that will be in the olympics.
I just don't think these people can have enough control to safely navigate a crowded slope.
