Couldn't believe he pulled it off after that slight scrub on the alley oop. He prolly has that trick pretty dialed by now if he's pulling it with no speed like that. Props to him on a well deserved gold!
And I will say I haven't seen lago pull out that much steez in the pipe all year. Makes me wish they aired more snowboarding... Gotta ask though, anyone feel vito got the shaft? I'm not even a huge fan of the guy, it's just how I saw it. I dvr'd it so i'll prolly watch it all again tomorrow anyways.

Indeed a lot of people fell during the second run because they were pushing it to win. Most fell on double corks anyway, which goes to show how sketchy a lot of the guys still are with it.
I'm canadian so no hate, but come on, ain't gonna be no canadian rider on that podium...no way. Bachelor? Sorry, not this lifetime. Lago had the best method/straight air by far. |

Frig man, that was one hell of a run... for the haters.
You could really tell the difference between Shaun and the other riders... not necessarily by the trick complexity, but the cleanliness of the run itself... most of all Shaun's landings were clean, right on edge. His rotations were smooth and his grabs were long, and in some cases doubled!... craziness. I liked the one Japanese guy who did the "backflip", and coined his own trick... too bad he fell tryina beat Shaun. I think if he just did his best, he could've placed 3rd, but Lago was too damn smooth! |
