I was just curious if you all knew the best way to ship a board i just sold. It doesn't have bindings. I'm just afraid when i take it to UPS to ship they will charge and arm and a leg for some crazy box. Any ideas?
the boxes we used at backcountry were really long and opened just wide enough to slip the board in. we would then trim down the box to about a foot above the nose and fold it over and tape the shit out of it.possibly they will have something like that at the ups store. You can also slip in one of those thin sheets of foam but its not necessary. Dont let ups give you shit about size because the weight is next to nothing
I just shipped my board back to Burton for warranty business. Alli did was go to the Burton store (or your local shop) and ask if they have any snowboard boxes. The shipping from UPS was $24 for ground and $33 with $600 worth of insurance.
