Any hope for the PNW?! - Snowboarding Forum

Sure, the bluebird days have their appeal and grooming machines keep the trails orderly but is there any hope for the Pacific Northwest getting more snowstorms this season? I'm in funk today even though the sun is shining. My snowboard is collecting dust.

There's no more velvety pow to ride! It's too early for spring IMO!

This year has sucked. I miss 07-08...oh well. My gut tells me next year will be epic though, fingers crossed for la nina.

tuesday thru friday shows SOME promise of snow for Hood.... not too much tho

its weird - it hasn't been a great snow year, but i have had a really fun season with some really fun days and good homies to ride with. I guess its what you make of it...

sure would like some spring pow days to finish er off tho...

Don't you remember last year? It was garbage in Jan and February and then we got absolutely hammered in March (150+ that month?) hope that its like that this year and pray for a redeeming season next year

I'm praying to the snow gods to bring us some more powder before the spring sets in for good. I'm riding Baker on Thursday with my brother in law so hopefully we can get some fresh before then. And yes, next season has to be better than this season, it just has to.

Yes! I went up to Hood during that! It was amazing!

See...we need a snow miracle. But I am keeping my fingers crossed for next season!

Last season had a bluebird pow days even in april.

On the other hand it hasn't been the hard glazed cascade concrete that we usually get this time of year...its been fairly soft springlike conditions. And when its been firm, its been great for really blasting laps on the groomers.

I was reading when Mt.Baker got 1100+ inches in 98/99, it was directly after an El Nino season

Heres to an La Nina season next year
