I've been thinking of nabbing an el cheapo snowboard off of CL or something to take down to the dunes here in CO. I really hate sand though. That shit is awful. But, it's tough to find snow to ride on from June to mid-late October.

True that! I want to pick up a longboard to tool around on this summer. One of my fiance's coworkers was big into mountain boarding. Now that shit is insane! I think I'm too old and wise to do that shit!

Yeah mtn boarding is just plain stupid. There's this local "pro" that rides at my local resort and he throws backflips and bombs down the mountain. I've seen him eat shit so many times, I swear the kid doesnt feel pain. I'm all set grinding my body into gravel at 30 miles an hr on a daily basis.

I saw something on TV many years ago where a bunch of guys were doing this. Looked pretty fun, and they were actually getting some pretty decent speed. I've got to imagine that's pretty rough on a board, though. I have no idea if they were using regular snowboards or something custom.
