Fucking priceless! It wasn't me, it was my dude, he came down from the run and had some random road/ice rash above his eye...(Luckily I had the Brave Soldier with me, that stuff is the shit) He was telling our son which way to go and just randomly caught an edge. We didn't get to see the vid until we got home that night.

Those surprise wipeouts are for sure the fucking worst! When you least expect it..most falls you can feel coming and prepare, but those ones that come out of nowhere are gnarly. One second on your feet - the next slammed on your ass/face/shoulder trying to figure out what the fuck went down !

The cam in this vid is mounted on his helmet through the vents (you can see it in the shadow on the vid), but we also have the surfboard mount for the board. It's a disk that sticks to your board, tricky getting it on to make sure you get best view. Only thing is, once the disk is on, that bitch is on, it's not coming off (and if it is it's fucking up the topsheet).

yusoweird - you're gonna love it! vids are super still and if you set it up to take the stills (every 2-5 seconds) you can really catch some amazing shots.

We've got some great laughs out of this vid...

Every turn is a blessing.

Im seriously debating buying one. I was gonna do a contour HD but now i dont know...

Is there any other way to attach it to your board that wont come off? Does the suction cup work? I dont wanna put some super sticker on my board that will never come off.

Haven't tried a suction cup or any other method of mounting to a board. GoPro doesn't recommend a suction cup for boards, except for mounting on a car, we've only used suction cups for the car for rides through the canyons, has been really stable at 90+ mph . I imagine it's the addition of snow/water that loosens the suction but , can't attest to that from personal experience. The mount really isn't that offensive (but yes, if you dig on your graphic, some of it is lost), but before you sticky it you just need to do a few test runs to make sure you have the right angle, once the disc is mounted on the board, the cam only turns forward or backwards. Some of the film from the board cam is sooo sick though, get to catch spray from the snow and all kinds of other rad shit we never notice while riding.

Every turn is a blessing.

I was playing around with my gopro hd. The ONLY complaint I have is the audio. It really does sucks. But that is really not a big deal at all. I will probably edit it to have music instead anyway. I am still 99% satified so far.

My friend has the ContourHD 720p. The audio is not much better. But he paid about the same as I did for my full HD GoPro. Definitely a good deal. Fish eye wide view is a plus over the ContourHD, especially as a helmet camera. I do like normal view sometimes though.
