sorry i know i did this backwards but i meant todo this then forgot
My name is owen as my screen name implies
im stuck in chicago where we get snow but have very few hills good enough for snowboarding
usually once a year i go (on my vacation) and rip it up but im by no means an expert

but i have fallin in love with it and am trying to see if i can take a few months off to really get good. i current have a nidecker and a rossi angus (yes the paid for reviews got me)
i havnt tried the angus yet (its still on its way to me) but im hoping it does good for me.
i bought both used. 200 for the nidecker with boots and bindings and 285 for the angus with bindings. so even if they arent the best boards they were cheap.

recently took up skateboarding to keep me better tuned for the winter but its not going so well. it is fun though especially since i bought a harness for my dog and she pulls me around town.
here is a compiled list of injuries:
almost broke my wrist but ended up only spraining both of them
bruised upper thigh
scrapped elbow
scrapped knee (twice)
broke my blackberry for work by landing on it (this is how i bruised my side)

ANYWAYS
summer sucks
skateboarding isnt nearly as fun as snowboarding

Take up wakeboarding and summer won't suck at all ;)

yes that does look like it would quenche my thirst but ive already sunk a few hundred into my skateboards

You paid a few hundred bucks for some skateboards? Your'e doing it wrong. As far as dealing with it just bust out a summer trip to hood and go shred the glacier for a week.

the boards where 50 each (one longboard one normal board)
but i spent about 100 painting the normal board
kinda stupid but it was a fun project

i stole never summers logo and wrote never summer is a cool font

So you spent 100 bucks for a deck you're going to skate on and destroy?

well 50 for the deck
and ya somthin like 75-100 on painting and other materials to paint it
it was an all white deck

i wont destroy it. i can allways do touchups

how do you spend a hundred bucks painting something? a hundred bucks will paint a room... a board should be 10.
