Can I attend SIA?

Is the annual SnowSports Industries of America (SIA) Trade Show for industry people only, or can anyone attend?

Because someone has to call it how they see it!

I just assumed he was like most others that just want to go for no reason other than seeing next years stuff. This is a pretty important thing here and thats why its not open to the public. Its not a show for gawking its where a lot of business is done each year. Having just random people wander around hurts peoples ability to network and get shit taken care of for the upcoming season.

Whoa there buddy, no need to get all bent out of shape. Yes, I simply want to gawk. I apologize if someone got in the way of your business in the past, but it was an innocent question. I will be sure to stay absolutely clear of any of your industry events and I apologize for asking.

Yes reputable bloggers, press, and others can put in an application to attend.

Billy you can get most of the info you want from these folks. Both BA's site The Angry Snowboarder and Shayboarders Shayboarder.com site already has tons of previews of next years stuff. I think you could probably ask either one of them to hit some of your fav companies as well for at least some sneak peek pics if nothing else

the thing to understand about SIA is they love/hate us. Most companies are sick of the gawkers you get in the way take away from the real thing and that is the business side of it. I've been 6 times and a lot of it is establishing yourself for a reason for companies to talk to you and if you're Joe Blow I don't do shit then why would they want to talk to you?

Flick you just need to fill out the form for the press pass and you're golden.

I completely understand, and I definitely have read a lot of Shayboarder's reviews. And, I understand the necessity of keeping this a "business 2 business" event for the sake of efficiency. I was merely curious.
