Wow, the level of riding nowadays really blows my mind. On a side note, I actually watched some of that live because they had it streaming on the site. I thought this was a cool idea, I hope that they do that for some more contests in the future.

I'm sure technology has some to do with it. Compared to the yesteryears of riding, boards nowadays can be flexible yet very stable...

nitroboarder22 05-06-2010 09:19 PM

maybe the boards are better and whatnot
but these guys are still doing front flips on to rails, no amount of technology just makes you that good

these guys have balls for trying stuff like that

YouTube - Ryan Paul at Bear

some more of his riding, he is just sick, he can do Backflip on 180 out too haha

Adayak 05-07-2010 10:03 AM

Damn that was sick - but if this was a video game he'd do like two flips then have like 10,000 points appear over his head :-)

jibbing is serious business these days

Ryan Paul rides a Burton Whammy Bar and Custom EST bindings so some would say that technology is absolute crap

Damn that's awesome. Was watching WCI in 07 or 06, it's an amazing atmosphere.
