so my second cousins father is a supervisor at jiminy and around december i was talking to him about a job there. if i did do that, does anyone know how much you make working at a mountain like three weekends a month?
yeah, i would like to be an instructor. i remember that my brother in law drove the cats at stratton like five years ago and the mountain even set him and my sister up with free housing in the resort. when do you think i should call my relative and ask for him to set up an interview?
Think Jiminy starts the winter employment process sometime early in October. So would not wait much past September to make the calls. Most spots are taken fairly quick I assume. Jiminy is one of the bigger resorts for my area so do not wait to long.
You do not need to be certified to work there. It helps but they do not require it. If the guy is related to you then best to mention it now and set a follow up date in September. I know the instructor jobs go fast but they have plenty of other jobs that need to be filled there. Plus there are 2 other resorts in the area. Check Butternut Basin if you want to get more involved in freestyle or park. The 3rd place is not worth driving the distance you are for a job, very small and more of a ma and pop ski area.
So Im not sure if this is on the same subject as what you guys are talking about. But I was wondering where should I apply to find a job out west. I currently live in Michigan, and I have worked at a ski resort for 3 years now. I was going to try and find a job on a resort out there.
