My High Cascade Video

Wish I could have gotten some back 5 attempts on video. Constructive criticism appreciated

What did you think of the 2011 Indoor Survival? And also what did you think of High Cascade in general?

Yeah I definately noticed that. One of the big things is that the filmer had us hike the features and I didnt want to make a longer hike. Looking back at it I wish I would have rode away for a longer period of time.

As for the Indoor Survival it was super sick. Probably the best board ive ever ridden. Its pretty soft in the tips and stable in between the feet. I liked it more for rails than jumps. One thing I noticed is that the board rides smaller than it is because the tip and tail are both really long. I also rode the 2011 k2 Fastplant while I was there and it was definately stiffer than the indoor. I hope I covered what you were looking for.

Oh and high cascade in general was one of the best experiences that Ive ever had. I learned tons of tricks, including some in that video, met lots of pros(Chris Beresford was my coach, I ate lunch with Mason Aguirre, and took some lap park runs with Scott Stevens, and Pat Moore and Chas Guldemond were helping me learn backside 5s.) I am currently saving up to try and go to high cascade next year.

A few things that I have to say if youre stuck between Windells and HCSC is that High Cascade is only a 10 minute bus ride to the mountain and windells is a 45 minute ride(I know this because I live in Oregon and pass by the camps on the way up to Mt Hood regularly) and High Cascades park is built for progression. Windells park is made up of really big jumps and rails, where high cascade has everything.

It was a 152. Pretty perfect all around size for me. Im 5'9" and 145lbs. Yeah i was super stoked, especially on the 180 tail press 360 out.. One that i didnt get on camera though was back 180 in 180 opposite way out. 1 thing that really helped getting the tricks though was how perfect all the take offs were.
