So anybody do anything to better your boarding this season? Ive put off around 45 pounds while building up my core and legs tremendously... im very well conditioned in my legs now! bye bye to pushing through thigh burning runs this off season. I cant wait to get out there and see how much fun i can have with my new body! i increased my flexebilty as well by doing yoga on the side as well.. This season is going to be soo much fun...
I have been lazy as shit this summer. Last Summer it was gym and biking but this summer other than hiking I have been very lazy. I think the first few weeks of the season will hurt a lot!
yeah but the 1st couple days always hurt no matter how pre pared you are but by the 2nd or 3rd time back its like picking up right where you left off... I pushed my self hard and i still am just so i can attempt to hike some back country this year.. Im hoping i have the stamina to do it
Mountain Biking like a mad man. 3-4 times a week on technical fun and hard singletrack. The next two months will find me in the gym more I hope to focus on the quick twitch and core exercises needed to blast away on a snowboard. The best is I have been losing weight and hope to shed another 15 pounds or so to take a little more stress of the old knees. coming in at or under 200lbs would be awesome to start the season.
Mainly just wakeboarding all summer, keeps me in pretty good shape. Daily stretching exercises, and the past month or so I've been riding my mountain bike about 10-15 miles a day.
I'm definitely in the best shape/weight I've ever been, so I'm REALLY looking forward to making some serious progress this season. Dropping 40 lbs a couple years ago hugely affected my performance, so now that I'm in even better shape then last year it's gonna be pretty dope.
I've been riding my skateboard and my longboard all summer. Now as the weather changes I'm heading back into the gym. Of course, I won't stop skating thanks to the little indoor park that's not to far away. However, the longboard is getting traded in for the snowboard.
skateboarded almost everyday (after taking almost a 3 year break), learned a lot of new tricks, started learning switch stuff, progressed a lot. hopefully i can carry it into the snow this season and try some new tricks. im too stoked on this season
yep, definitely didn't do as much as last year that's for sure. I hurt my back in April and recently started physical therapy so maybe in a couple weeks I can head back to the gym and finish where they leave off. I'm so hoping it won't take too long to get my legs back this season.
I put on 20 lbs this off season...might have to crash diet to take it off before the season starts. 2 years ago I was a ripped, agile 170. Now I'm 200 lbs. I shouldnt have stopped skating.
just dieting this summer no actual working out ahaha, but i tell u i dropped 35 lbs and i feel lighter on my feet than ever before, was riding 151-152's at 195lbs sucked for when i got fat, the chatter was laaaaame, should be much better this season and im hoping so too
