I still kick myself for not buying a 95 Subaru 2.5 RS with 60k miles for only $6000. Now this was about 5 years ago so it wasn't that old. Instead I kept my junker and ended up selling organs so I could buy my 350Z. Not exactly a mountain car, but I love it in the summer in Indy. If I move out west like I want I might become stuck at home all winter. I love Subarus, but I still managed to wreck a Legacy AWD in the snow.

Im in a subie club, I have the worst car and im always to broke to do shit to it hahaha. but I ride with the other guys, no WRXs in are club, all imprezas, the newest subie is a 99 impreza. we mob up to stevens pass on one of the top 5 dangerous roads in america haha. and we drift around the corners and shit, some of the dudes cars are just fucking nuts. its funny because honda is subies rival, but we pretty much rival with WRXs, and unless its an STI not many people beat are members.

needless to say I want an 02-06 WRX wagon.

outbacks look disgusting and unless your a soccer mom or married with kids its just gross.

well, thats an instant fuck you from me. is my car sick fast or can i drift around corners? nope. does it hold my 2 70lb dogs, all my snowboard gear, or all of my climbing/hiking gear? yup.

I concur, your out of you mind, The outback isn't an ugly car to start; maybe if it was a riced out shit bag, but by its self it's fine. Sure it is not a race car but its practical.

What about the outback is so Asthetically displeasing to you? And don't say everything because that is a stupid response that is not a real answer and if you do say everything I will send you an internet kick in the nuts or the baby maker because I'm not sure which applies.

most subie models look bad ass IMO. but one glance at the outback and im like, next thing to a moms mini van. now dont get me wrong, there is still a ton of other cars ide pass up for it given the choice.

now I do see a few outbacks I like and I think they started in like 07-08? I could be wrong though.
#1 the outback sedan and #2 whatever the sporty looking model is

Im going off looks only guys. ive driven both an outback, and what I consider the next car to it, the forrester. needless to say there both bad ass as far as everything else goes, but ide never drop cash on either.

If I was worried about hauling around gear, ide pick up a nissan xterra, rarely do you see one of these dirty or outside cities, but they tear it up offroad

and my favorite car right now is probably the VW TDI 08. this thing is just smooth as hell. it can kick serious ass also running off of biodisel vegetable oil haha

I don't know which Subie club you're part of, but I've never even heard of Subaru drivers acting so dumb.
Most dangerous road, and you're drifting around corners? I see why only your club considers to be 'rivals' to hondas. That is the very first mention I hear of that.

no doubt the veggie oil is a plus. i know a person that converted their new jetta tdi to veggie oil and they love it. but if your talking new dubs, R32 for the win. that thing is teh sects
