Went up to Mary Jane and was amazed at the coverage in the trees and such, and just how much of the mountain was open this early. Hope the snow continues, could be an amazing year. Was also great to just get out there. Was like spring conditions sunny, warm, and powder...let the season begin...BR

Not to hijack this thread, but I rode WP this past Friday as well. I was thinking of Copper, but MaryJane was just open, so that made the decision. It was a little chilly and overcast, but not much wind once you were over the pass on the way in. It snowed lightly all day and there were lots of pow stashes to be found. The cirque wasn't open, but for Nov, it was great (given that back home in Syracuse, there's no snow...) Best of all was that it was uncrowded - the masses must have been sleeping off their turkey comas.
My girl and I also rode Loveland on Sat - it was a total Bluebird day and despite chair 9 not open yet, there was lots of good terrain off of chair 4 and 1 to rip. ...pics. so it DID happen |
