i just picked up the kodak playsport zx3 for snowboarding this winter. don't plan on using it that much and the fact that it can shoot 720p at 60 fps, is waterproof, shockproof, includeds hdmi cable and cheap cheap made it an excellent choice. it also records in a format that works well with imovie. the HD quality isn't professional grade, but its really good compared to other similar cams. the color saturation is really nice and footage really pops on bluebird days. check out youtube for some sample vids.
the best part is, i found a package with camera, case, extra battery, remote, tripod, and 16 gb card for 135 bucks. |

Just get a gopro with a monopod.

I bought a gopro but havent had a chance to use it other then at home and I think its gonna be amazing. I own the HTC EVO 4G and would not recomment the video from it. Its better then most phones but its still just a phone. There would be so much blur you wouldnt be able to see what was going on
