Default WTF! Snow bikes?

I was ready for an epic day in the park only to walk into the lodge and immediately encounter about 40 people in bright yellow jackets with a reflective picture of a snowbike printed on them.

Turns out they were doing a demo and giving lessons...IN THE PARK...

It's not enough to have to deal with skiers stopping after each landing and noobs that shouldn't be there but now I have to deal with the local snow bike gang. I hope this doesn't become a trend.

It looks pretty fun, albeit dangerous, to me. I want to try it out.

The idea of these becoming common on the slopes scares the crap out of me. I've won every collision that I've had with bikers at the skatepark but something tells me that wouldn't be true on the hill getting hit from behind. I wonder if those things have the same control problem that ski-blades do?

Those things look crazy. They were all over Keystone last season the couple of times I was up there.

One of my ski buds, tweaked his knee last year and rode a fully suspended ski bike with a break. It looked fun and more of a green run kind of thing and the hill had more natural hits, so no need to take into the park...the hill would not let him take it on blacks and double blacks.
