Angles at 30/-30?
I recently set my angles to 30/-30 and it feels like it'd be completely comfortable. This is only while standing; I haven't tried it out yet. I keep reading a lot of threads that these angles would cause a lot of damage to my knees, but it doesn't seem uncomfortable or anything.
My boots are also quite big, which is part of the reason I set the angles so big. Now would the 30/-30 be bad even though it doesn't cause discomfort while standing? Any input would be appreciated. |
That is really wide, I can see how it can damage your knees after a while.

Go try it out and see what happens.
That's some huge angles. I'm running 17* and 15* and that's as much as i'll go. |
You can't always tell the kinds of problems you're going to have standing around the house vs on the hill. Lots of boot fitting examples come to mind. As said, its worth a try but have a screwdriver in the car if you need to readjust.
FWIW, I tried angles that extreme one time and had trouble landing even medium kickers without eating it. |
say good bye to your acl if you do it.

don't do it. that's pretty extreme. there are situtations on the mountain that you can't possibly recreate in your house that will probably hurt your knees.
|
You'd look like an idiot...and that should hurt enough

that is major ducked out. I ride ducked out at something like 18 and 15. but 30 30 is crazy. although I've seen every kind of wacked out stance you can imagine and people like whatever they like.

Alright, thanks everyone. The ever so popular 15/15 it is. Gotta accept that I'll have some overhang  I DO wanna walk when I'm older
