I just got back from our hill with my kids. It was super foggy, wet, and fast.
My 13 year old hit the park jump without scouting and paid the price by landing in the seat and he was done for a while. Glad he didn't get seriously hurt. The hill was quite dead and the park was pretty empty so my other boy and I decided to ride the park. Since it was empty I didn't feel self conscious, pressured or rushed and I could have fun. I hit the rail I worked on the other day and the box and did pretty good. I then worked up the courage to hit a rail I had to ollie onto. I did pretty good there too. I did find myself going a little to slow though, but as the confidence built my speed picked up a little bit and I was able to enjoy riding that rail. It was nice to link or hit several features consecutively on my run. Over all I had some good runs, some spills (nothing major) and I was able to work on my park riding. -Slyder |
