Motorcycle Talk - 2011 ZX-10r

Anyone follow the motorcycle market? I want to buy a new bike and looking at the ZX-10r but I think it might be a big BIG step up from my ZX-6 the 2011 ZX-10r can go over 200mph pretty easy apparently.

This guy already did it lol

I ride. Got a 2004 honda 599 or Hornet for anyone from europe.
There is really no reason a bigger bike should be a problem if you know what you're doing. haha

Just respect that throttle and it will all be fine.

I ride too. Have an 02 748s. Started on Honda Rebel 250. As mbsep said just respect the throttle and you will be alright. Save the real speed for the track. It's much more fun and way more safe!

zx10 is a mean machine, more machine than most riders can handle... my cousin has it, and I've ridden it a few times... it's a mean mean machine... I sometimes don't understand why buy one unless you track it.

I'm quite happy with my 1971 Triumph Bonneville.

I ride a 2004 R1, used to ride a 1997 YZF-600r that someone made into a track bike, then made half ass street legal again. The jump between a 600 and a liter bike is pretty huge. Honestly I was pretty scared of the bike for a good 6 months. The best part is I don't have to shift in town anymore though =)

I ride an 06 R1... If you step up to a liter bike, don't be a squid and ride like a jacka$$. It will not be forgiving so make sure you learn the bike.

I see all too often someone wearing flip flops, a tank top and shorts with his girl on the back wearing the same thing... Oh, but they have helmets.. That will help Just because you can go WOT doesn't mean you can ride. Too many people ride because they think they are cool now. Just remember to respect the bike, ride with gear and ride responsibly. If you want to get an adrenaline rush, track days FTW!!!!
