Mine was probably the time we were in a snow drought, total bulletproof hill. My friend Jesse and I decided to eat some shrooms for breakfast and go riding. Now before i get someone telling me how unsafe that is, we knew the risks and were experienced riders and trippers.
We were riding up the T-bar when things really started to kick in. We were both singing "I don't want to leave you on the farm" by Ween as we must have been listening to it while having breakfast.
For some reason our body posture together on the T looked like a V, and we were both kind of leaning on each others boards and couldn't get out of it, we started laughing harder and harder until we couldn't take it anymore and fell over laughing hysterically. At this point my girlfriend who was riding with us decided to leave our pack.
We had some awesome runs, I noticed that my lines were really weird tho, instead of the usual going mostly down hill I would snake sideways thru the trees and bust thru branches and generally go where I normally wouldn't. At one point the lifty thought I had frost bite and made me step off the loading area as my friend loaded and went up. He told me to sit in the lift shack till I warmed up. It was pretty uneventful just listening to the hum of the lift and it felt like an eternity. But I also don't think it was cold enough for my cheeks to start turning white, anyways.
Met back up with Jesse and had some more fun runs.
Once the lifts closed for the hour before night riding we went back to his RV and had some home brew beers watching the day turn to night over the mountain peaks. We could totally see the dark blue of twilight slowly take over the orange of what was left of the sunlight in between the peaks and gully's of the mountains in the distance. It was a great experience and we agreed it was one of the best times we had riding.
We went back out for some night runs now a little buzzed on beer. Seriously one of my longest days riding ever and one of the best even tho there was no new fresh in weeks.
