I was reading an article in Outside magazine about this kayaker that was working on his PhD is psychology and he was writing his disseration on the euphoric feelings he had while kayaking and comparing those feelings to the intense feelings people have due to religious belief. I suppose anything is possible. BTW, dude was eaten by a croc, while kayaking.
