Yesterday at MHM, I was riding on the Vista quad with little Billy and two random snowboarders.

As our chair approached the top terminal for Daisy I saw a woman preparing to take photos/video with her phone, aiming at the small cornice that forms under Vista. Sure enough 4 twenty somethings duck the rope line below Daisy and charge up to the lip of the cornice like they are on a big air mission. After reaching the lip of the little (5' drop with some run out) cornice they proceed to sideslip/butt/hand check down the thing in single file.

Little Billy looks up at me and in a confused voice asks, "Why did they go sideways?"

All the adults on the chair start laughing.

It makes me smile to know Even a 5 year old skier like Little Billy gets it.

This is such a great story. It jsut goes to show that there is hope yet for the next generation of children. Oh, and LoL! at the kids who side slip a 5 foot drop.
