Default sponsorship question

alright so i got really good this season and for my birthday (which is in april so the seasons already over) im buying a go pro camera and building a backyard jib. by next season ill be 14 and with all the practice from my jib and what i learned this year i think i will be pretty good by next season. what would you expect a 14yr old to be able to do to sponsor them?

If you have to ask us you don't have what it takes to be "pro" ride for fun.

From what I've read, it's said that all the "Sponsor me videos" are all aiming in the wrong direction, instead you should participate in comps where the the actually sponsors will be there watching.

You have to be able to win competitions.

honestly getting sponsored at this age. its all about who you know, If you dont know anyone in the business your chances of getting sponsored go way down. It's not impossible just unlikely unless your some child prodigy

but like someone said the next thing you should do is enter and win every contest you can. if brand name reps are looking for someone they will go to competitions

then make some sponsor me videos and send them in (just remember snowboard companies probably get soo many sponsor me videos. You have to stand out from those other videos some how)

HAHAHA there's more talent than companies that need riders right now. Competitions don't mean shit since competition jocks have no legacy except maybe Shaun White. It's all what you can market for them.
