Goddam kids! - Snowboarding Forum

Just one of those things that's funny afterwards, but at the time...

I was on Seymour yesterday (Sunday) and at one lift ride I was paired up with a kid, maybe 8-9 years old. Not normally an issue as most of them are better than me

, but this twerp almost killed me. All was fine until we got to the top and started the dismount. Well, instead of going straight off from the chair, the kid turns right into me, sticks his board between my legs, stops himself (and me), and just stands there looking at me stupidly. As I'm deciding whether or not to kill him, the chair catches up with us and smacks me between the shoulder blades.

I let him live, but it was close. Mainly because it was such a great day, and being arrested for braticide would have cut into my time on the hill.

The kid probably weighs 50lbs pick him up next time and ride off with him under your arm.

Lol... I've had to do that twice.... pick them up and set them down 100' passed the green trail entry...
