The Parking Situation at Vail - Snowboarding Forum

I'm sick and tired of dropping 25 bucks at the parking lot in Lionshead village at Vail. Does any one know what the free parking situation is like at Vail on weekday mornings this late in the season? The Vail website lists these free parking lots:

North Frontage Road by the West Vail Mall - 70 spaces (Daily)
North Frontage Road west of the West Vail roundabout (Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6am-11pm) -100 spaces
East Vail Interchange at E. Vail Exit off I-70 near Bighorn Rd - 12 spaces
North Trail Trailhead off of North Frontage Road W - 6 spaces
Spraddle Creek Trailhead off of Spraddle Creek Road - 12 spaces
Red Sandstone Park - 700 North Frontage Road - 15 spaces
Nordic Center at the Vail Golf Course - 30+ spaces (7am-11pm)

How far away are they from the lifts and how fast do they fill up on weekdays? Can I walk or is there a shuttle bus that you need to take?

Free parking in Vail is like giving out free crack in compton shit fills up fast. Here's the trick park at the garage as usual when you're leaving walk down hit the button and get another ticket poof free parking.

they place is insanely expensive. I was there last week. $108 for a lift ticket!

I wish I knew about that. They don't really have any parking info on their website. The first time I ever went there the guy at the gate directed me to the pay lot and thats where I have been parking ever since.

Oh man go to the last round about and go right instead of up to the gate go down to the light after the first parking lot and take a left and you'll be all set.
