make sure your not wasting any money that could be used on something else, especially at the age of 15. you could ask for money and save it for when you grow and you need a new board/binding/boots.
In this day and age what 15 year old worries about wasting money? They all have an indefinite supply of it funded by mom and dad.

how does getting a gopro equate to being a poser?

I use mine for everything from motorcycle racing, to snowboarding, to scuba diving, its not a one trick pony. I don't consider myself a pro at any of these activities, but at the same time, who would buy this with the intention of it being a fashion accessory? I bought it to take vids, not to look cool...personally my friends have told me the bloody thing makes me look like a robot, so i stowe it away when i'm not using it.

But do get the season pass first if you can't get both.

Because the whole point of getting a GoPro is to make snowboarding movies, and if your not that good and aren't going to be filming anything other then riding on groomers, what's the point?

cuz its fun? filming memories? filming other ppl fall on their asses, or recording the countless FAIL moments on the chair lift? Perhaps analyzing your own or someone else's riding?

i dont know about anyone else, but i never bought it with the intention of filming The Art of Flight II

The Gopro is a second rate camera, it doesnt even have a viewfinder. It's only particularly good when it comes to shooting stuff on the snow because its water/shock proof.
