Got a crapton of snow overnight and first part of the day, started raining later in the day.

Closed with wind and lots of sun, but I was actually at Monarch in CO and it was snowing there.

Fresh snow on top of crusty ice. It was also windy and cold. I am still waiting on these "spring conditions."

in PA, we are lucky to see our season last to April 1. It did, with 3 slopes and a 500' vertical open. Sad actually.

Mostly, the fat lady sung around mid - late feb. Rain started coming in more often than not. Snow was few and far between and ZERO snow making efforts were made to increase profit margins as 'rider interests' declined in the later months. WHAT later months, the damn seasons didn't start until mid/late dec! lol. DECLINED? More like, people were getting sick of riding on solid ice, poorly groomed slopes and short verticals. If they would have been pumping out snow in march, they would have def made it to April or mid april and had a decent base to hold on to. Not to mention, the rides would be nicer during the colder months.

I have to travel to extend my season. It was every effort I could muster with a family to get out 15 times this year.

Wife is a teacher, and our state pays fairly well for them compared to anywhere else. She won't work for cheaper at all unless it's in a less stressful field. So it looks like I'm stuck in limbo land. Not really cold enough for great winter sports, not in a beach/warm area to enjoy that. Not many lakes to enjoy boating. We pretty much don't have much of anything in PA unfortunately.

Dumped down! Wasn't on the mountain on the 10th but was out there 12th/13th and attempted my first cornice drop.

What greeted me upon landing? Why powder... @ least thigh - waist deep.
