Ok, so thought I would report to you guys about my second time snowboarding and the trip to the slopes yesterday. I brought along two friends that had never snowboarded before and that was a mistake, it would take them 4 times as long to get the bottom. I wasted about half my day waiting for them at the bottom and finally said screw this, and let them do there thing and left them. I know I said I was going to go into the terrain park, but it is a lot more intimidating in person, especially when everyone there is doing like backside 7s and nose slides to front side boardslides. I am almost positive I could have at least hit a few rails and some boxes in it though.
I did land a small frontside 3 while hitting this hump going down the black diamond. It was defiantly a lot of fun. I had a couple of the good people in the park asking me why I wasn't hitting up the terrain park while I was on a lift with them. I told them it was my second day and they completly flipped and it took me the rest of the lift up to convince them that I wasn't lying. They were like "Dude, I saw you coming down that black diamond, there is no way!" lol. Its whatever, I plan on going back this weekend (as long as its not raining, there is a high of 50 and 30% of rain) so maybe I will try it out then. (I fell twice yesterday, btw
lol, I was also beating myself up the whole way home, because I saw this pretty hot chick on the slopes (had her own board and everything) giving me the eye, and so I saw her around for a few runs, and decided to try and strike up a conversation with her, and couldn't find her because the slope was closing. maybe she'll be there next week
anyways, just thought I would report into you guys about this trip.
oh yea, and I said I would get video, well thats a long story. Anyways, we took my friends digital camera (that was actually made more for videos to be put online) spent most of the day having fun and completly forgot about it. When I finally did, the first run my friend recorded was crap, there were 10 people on the slope, and the camera dosen't zoom in that well. Anyways, tried it again, had it set up where I would wave my arms at the top of the hill so he could see me, and I also was the only one on the slope at the time. Got to the bottom and he told me the battery went dead as soon as I started going down, lol. The batteries are rechargable and not removable, so we couldn't get any more. lol, I'll get some next friday.
