I realized partway through the day yesterday that my right binding was really loose. And of course, this was the day that I didn't bother putting my screwdriver in my pocket.
I rode down the mountain as slowly and conservatively as I could and fixed it. Interestingly, because the NXT-AT bindings have that screw-on cover that goes over the binding plate, the bolts can't come all the way out. About halfway out, they "top out" onto the cover. That probably saved me.

I used to have this problem with my old Flows. And these didn't have that cover over the base plate so the danger of the bolts coming all the way off was very real. It got to the point where I couldn't go riding without keeping a multi-tool in my pocket.

I have never had an issue with the base plate screws on my NXT-ATSE's I wax my board every 3 outings so I'm always loosening them to wax and they have always been tight.
I did have a buckle strap loosen up but it was a fast fix at the base of the hill. Glad you didn't loose the binding while you were riding. That could have hurt bad depending where you were at the time. I hope you didn't loose the faith in them....

Naw, my immediate assumption is that I didn't tighten them up enough last time I had them off. This is the first time I've had this happen, and only on one binding. So, operator error.

![]() Well could be like the kid that was in front of me getting on the lift and have your front binding pull off.

Yanked the binding right off and left the board on the load ramp with the disk.

He still loves his flows, but I have replaced mine because I got tired of the bolts working themselves loose. |
