well that is farking bullshit for a start. like you i play hockey and i snowboard and i do both because i want to and they both make me very happy.

ie it is what i would rather do instead of go to work, pay bills, do laundry etc.... they are my life's choices.

and there it should end.

coaches will be coaches, but fuck that 'team is all' mental and fuck them. i hate it when these middle aged failures in life try to compensate for their short comings by excerting expectations on others.

as the saying goes, 'those who can, do. those who can't, teach'.

fucking coaches. if you love snowboarding but that is being inhibited due to someone else's hockey expectations of you, you will end up resenting hockey. bollocks to that. do both!

you only live once, all must die, there are somethings worse than death...having your fears and anxieties determine your life...sb is a metaphor

Glad someone got my humor.

On a side note, I will say that after having spent way too many years being overly cautious, I'm in a diff. place in life & more about being fearless and enjoying life beyond regret than anything else... we're waiting a few years to start a family and my husband is a pretty big adrenaline junkie (jumps out of planes for a living--he's in the army) and that has really rubbed off on me a lot...sometimes it's good to pretend you don't have your frontal lobes developed either... can make for some good memmories.

Of course. You don't have to think about not thinking about something... I have to tell myself to not think about it, just relax and let go...

Hope it works out and I too envy that you have friends to ride with.
finally a representative for the females. best reply ever!

i agree that having friends to ride with is great, but sometimes you just want to scream because of their actions.

recommendation: if you have the urge to beat your friend up, go off for a few runs by yourself to blow off steam and just enjoy the time on the slopes.

A girl that plays hockey AND snowboards Dream come true If you aren't comfortable doing something, don't do it. If you like hockey, play it, and if you are single just give me a jingle....
