honestly, over here in eurolandia, it is like there is a giant bubble over the western continent.

click the play button on the following link....

Met Office: Europe: Infrared satellite imagery

you will see weather systems one after the next, queuing up in the atlantic, barreling their way onto land, only to either head north to scandinavia or south to the freaking dessert, to then roll back together again (more or less) once east of the mountains!

it couldn't be more perfectly bollocksed!

Just 16 miles away we also have Timberline where there is year round riding on the Palmer Glacier and the lower mountain is great well into early July usually. You guys might want to look at Mt. Hood as a serious spring break destination....
sounds awesome. but if we went we would defiantly have to drive, and probably live out of our car, because we would have around enough money for food, gas, and slope tickets (not even sure if i have that much at the moment) because of the money issue, i kinda doubt we would go, but it would be awsome!

all this talk bout the gorgeous weather in the west coast ... is making me depress

since saturday, we have been getting rain, wet snow, high winds. typical east coast ice weather. it looks like a skating rink out there. i don't even want to know how it looks on the slopes. hopefully we will get one last big storm by next saturday (since there is a demo day at the resort nearby).

we are so envious of this powder talk. my friends and i are definitely looking into a trip out west next year.

We do have atleast 2-3 months, and sometimes A-basin doesn't close until around June. I'm actually already kind of depressed. Not much to do in the Summer besides drink and go 4 wheeling, but I need to get my truck fixed before I can do that. I might have to get 2 jobs to keep me busy through the summmer.

This weather fucking sucks. I would like to rewind about 10 years back when we would have a consistant 2 feet of snow at home. Now its like "OMFG we got 2 inches! Hurray!" and then 3 days later it rains and washes it all away.

Well if we don't mind there is always St. Mary's glacier here as well which is good for mostly icy/blown dirt conditions all through the summer. I'll probably be there a few times before next season kicks up in October, although it will be less than favorable conditions....
MOVE MAN! I'll let you stay at my place til you can find a place

what's this "winter" you speak of? closest thing for me is some trailer trash dropping a snocone on my foot. i think my wife and i will end up spending all our money on snowboarding trips and end up in a trailer ourselves..

lol, thanks for the offer man. i am temtped to give up school. lol, wish they would somehow switch it up every other year, so that summer break somehow fell on winter instead of summer. that would be pretty cool. i plan on getting a season pass next year, so i would be there everyday, lol.
