Criticize Constructively?

Here's my season. I have some ideas for next year as far as what I want to work on. I know I need to have more variety on urban stuff. I also want to get better at presses and learn more switch. Any suggestions? Tear me apart. It'll help.

This smells like a humblebrag. Seriously, you are pretty damn good. Work on cleaning it up and adding more style would be all I could think of.

Like said above I wish I could do half that stuff.

I did see that at 29 seconds I think the 5 you threw, you were at a 90* to the lip of the jump very early.

Maybe a little more leg strength so you can ollie onto the features would help to quite your arms movement. I saw lots of arms flying upward when you go to ollie onto a feature.

I can't do any of this but in a much lesser degree than Wolf I'm used to spotting form in sports. Hope that helps and I strive for 1/2 of this in my coming season.

Hey guys thanks a bunch for the feedback. I really appreciate it. I definitely see what you guys are talking about with the upper body movement. It does look kinda odd haha. It's funny you mention it because I actually just started lifting to help out my leg strength. Good to know it'll help out a bit.

I heard core strengthening like with abs and back helps too? Does anyone know more about that?

stfu lol. You youngins strive too much! never happy! hehe. Well, dude you look well on your way to doing great. You seem very relaxed riding, almost too relaxed if I had to find something wrong. Tighten up some of your moves a bit more and try to make them more technical looking. But damn, you ride well. I hope that I would be doing half of that by the end of my 2nd season next year but at my age, I'll just be happy to catch air and MAYBE do something in the air rather than just float.

Congrats on the great riding year

well my first thought was, wheres the music? ha but other then that everything looked pretty good. smoother style just comes with doing it more really so if you just keep riding how you're riding itll start to look better.

there were a couple times it looked like you where looking more towards your feet then where you were going on the feature which makes it so you have to force switch ups and spins around more which is prob whats causing your arms to swing around like that. for the most part its better to lead the spins by looking over the leading shoulder until you see where you wanna stop then just focus on that. a lot of people dont realize how much where you are looking with your eyes helps with spinning and not just throwing your shoulders as hard as you can.

good switch ups come from upper and lower body separation where youll start spinning your upper body and keeping your lower body in the same position then let it catch up with the rest of your body.

of course though there are many different ways to do a lot of the same things and just gotta find what you like best.

Ahhh that part about the eyes makes a lot of sense! I never thought about that either til you said it. Come to think of it, I tend to look at my feet a lot when I skate too. I guess it carries over. I see the lower and upper body separation thing too. I kinda can feel how it's supposed to feel in my head but sometimes it doesn't quite translate over. Thanks a lot cr0 for the tips!

Oh, about the pow. I'd LOVE to ride some but I'm from central New York state and well, the "mountains" as we call them just aren't that big. Although I am going to school and Whiteface Mountain is 45 minutes away but it's known as "Iceface" haha.
