hey first post - Snowboarding Forum

hey just joined the forum, currently living in UK and havent been boarding for too long. thought for a first post ill introduce myself. Im 20, uni student and wanting to get into snowboarding alot more. i go to a dry slope every week as its the closest slope to me, and an indoor snow slope when i can.

Also i would like to ask, as i want to get into freestyle boarding is a smaller board better to have? At the moment i hire my board/boots but wanting to buy my own boots more than a board at the moment as im not too serious to need my own board just yet. I am 5'8/5'9 and ride a 154 board. no idea on wideness/stiffness as i just hire it so not too sure on specs of it but seems perfect but when i move onto kickers and rails it should be ok, but obv its my own personal preference whether or not to change size but wondering on everyone's opinion on sizes to their weight and height.

Honestly I think the whole size/height thing isnt all that important. As long as you dont weigh 7000 pounds boards are going to hold up pretty good. Another fairy tale is smaller boards are better for freestyle... I dont think so. I ride a 163 in the park and I shred. It all depends on what your personal preference is.
