Looking for feedback on these two locations PLEAAAASE!!

Hello everyone I was about to book a vacation for my wife , and children to Big Bear Lake in the San Bernardino mts in CA when I stumbled on another place that almost looks like a "mini" lake Tahoe called Lake Arrowhead which I believe is about an hour from Big Bear. Was wondering if anyone could give me feedback on the two especially Lake Arrowhead since I have never been there?? I realize the ski resort is about 30 minutes from Lake Arrowhead , and Big Bear ski resort is right in town , but how about the other activities in the two towns?? Which village is better to walk around at ..... Big Bear village or Arrowhead village?? I totally appreciate any threads to help me make a decision. Thanks

I live technically in lake arrowhead. Its about 45 minutes away from Bear. Lake arrowhead isn't all that great we have "the village" which is a bunch of shops and places to eat. Due to economy and idiot owners a lot of businesses have gone out of business. The Arrowhead has a 35 mph speed limit on boats where as I dont think bear has one.

There are three resorts on the mountain. The first one youll run across is Snow Valley... If you have never snowboarded go there... Other than that its a pretty shitty resort. Subpar snow. The second resort is Snow Summit which is pretty much a little more friendly to beginners. Then there is Bear which is well known..

Im not sure what your really looking for though. The lake arrowhead village is ok for people that have never been there. It takes about 30 minutes to walk the whole thing and then youve pretty much seen it all. 45 minutes if there are any ducks out.. lol

Never really been to Bears village so I couldnt tell you much. I know they have a cool cement slide, some snow tubing areas and some other stuff.

Big bear has a lot more to choose from though. Especially when it comes to food. On Arrowhead side of the mountain there is literally only Mc D's and Subway to choose from where as Bear has Taco Bell, Carls Jr, Subway, Mc D's, Dennys and a couple others that I cant think of.

Hi, I live in Maricopa aswell Anyways I don't have a good answer to your question but I been to Big Bear a few time it is very fun, I have never been to Arrowhead. But have you been up to the White Mountain? I really like the town aspect of Big Bear but I don't love the drive with kids in the car. I love going to the White Mountains and I like Sunrise to snowboard we always have a great time. Just a thought
