So, long story short i'm a senior Software Engineering student this year graduating in December.
I am taking an Android programming class as one of my final courses, and for our 6 week project I decided to do a GPS tracking type program specifically for ski/snowboarding. I know some apps exist, both for iPhone and Android, the idea isn't necessarily to come up with a new app idea...it is only 6 weeks single development, and learning as i go...but its something im interested in learning and should be fairly complex. So i come to you brethren of the snow, for feedback from those that have used these apps. Apps like Ski Tracks for Iphone, or even Run Keeper for Android... What apps have you used? What did you not like? What did you like? What features would you find most useful in an app like this? My idea's for features -Gps map tracking on Google Maps(obvious) -Camera pic's tagged with Geo location -Stats, Distance, Max Speed, Vertical Feet, etc -Local Weather Conditions from NOAA

What did you not like? no snowboard/ski specific setting EDIT: it does now, i forgot What did you like? easy to use, many features including some that you have in mind. What features would you find most useful in an app like this? I like your idea. (snow conditions, weather) Last edited by CMSbored; 10-23-2011 at 10:40 PM. |

I use it when I hike and ride. great app really don't have any complaints. Camera and weather would be new bundled in... but honestly I have other apps that perform those functions
