Default swix alpine glide wax kit

I am looking to purchase my first iron and waxing materials and just came across this full kit on whiskeymilitia. Can anybody give me some reviews on it? Much thanks in advance.

All wax kits are basically the same thing for non racing purposesódo yourself a favor and get a bigger scraper though, plexiglass will do.

Thanks for the quick response. I was just wondering if the iron was a decent one. And if 65 bucks seemed like a good deal for the iron, 3 waxes, brush, and scraper.

Do yourself a favor, and just buy an iron from Goddwill, scotch brite, scrapper and some Choad Cheese snowboard wax. over all cost will be around $25.

I would like an iron that has a more fine tune temp control. Plus, trying to source an iron without holes hasn't been easy.

I have that swix kit. I think I only paid about $50 for it. I used it all the time last season and a couple of times already this season. I am just now running out of wax (down to my last 1/3 from the kit). Overall I would say it was a good buy since it had everything I needed all in one kit, but like someone mentioned above you can put one together yourself cheaper if you are willing to look around. If not I would go with the swix kit or something similar.

My wife actually surprised me and bought me a One Ball Jay kit off Amazon. I'm pretty stoked.
