Has anyone stood up on the chair lift & rode off?

Last year @ Hemlock I told a lifty fried of mine that I was going to stand up on one of the chairs & ride off, He didn't seem to give a shit.
Last run of the day about half way up the Green chair I stood up, put the back of my board on the back rest & the front on the seat.
I thought it might be hard to do my back binding up, but it was surprisingly easy. The top of the chair fit nicely under my arm.

I guess my buddy didn't understand what I tried to explain, when he seen me standing on the chair he came flyin' out of the hut, arms a flailing.
I still had to reasure him that it was all good & not to stop the chair.

As I went by him he said "your gonna kill yourself". Not like that. But oh ya, if you kept standing when the cable hits the wheel, it'll pop your head, arms & any thing else that is between cable & pulley.

For years I've been doing both my bindings up on the chair, most of the time they are'nt payin attention, the odd time I'll get in shit.
I then sit on the chair until the runout drops, to about 8-10 feet then jump into the nice transition of the runout.

It was sweet, the way your board sits on the backrest & seat makes a perfect 45% angle to ride off.
I'm not sudjusting anyone try it. I am really retarded.

TT

Why? Why would you want to do that. Injure yourself doing something cool like a rail or jump, not the CHAIRLIFT.

IT's pretty stupid to begin with. But why the fuck would you stand up on the lift and then jump off?
