Opinions on this material for top of snowboard box

Hi, i am going to be building a box for snowboarding in the next few days. Its going to be 12 feet long, 2 feet high, and 18 inches wide. For the top i was planning on using optix clear acrylic plastic stuff from home depot. Its 95 dollars a sheet so i want to make sure its going to be pretty durable and not break or crack on me. heres a link to the stuff. thanks

Optix | Clear Acrylic Sheet - .118 Inch x 36 Inch x 72 Inch | Home Depot Canada

or would you pay the extra 30 dollars and get this

Lexan | Polycarbonate Sheet - .093 Inch x 36 Inch x 72 Inch | Home Depot Canada
