STOKED! Rang out the New Year catchin' my 1st Air!!!!
THIS SPORT ROCKS!!!!!! :D It wasn't much, It wasn't extreme,.. but it WAS air! And I stuck it more times than I biffed! (about 65-35%) It felt FREAKIN' AWSOME!!!!
I got some kinda crappy video of it. If I can figure out how to post it here, I will!! I wanna thank Snowolf for his vid clips. I skimmed a few of them and his advise on setting up stance and"charging" the takeoff made it possible. (I had no idea how to give that a try previously) I also clocked my fastest speeds on the hill yesterday. Jumped from 18-18.75 mph fastest, to 24-25.5 mph!! Felt GOOD!! (...of course, now I'm in the realm of speed where losing it could REALLY get me hurt!) :) Thanks again Snowolf!! (Hope your enjoyin' the Big Blow in Oregon!!) :D Chomps1211 |
I am still in the newbie stage and that feeling is euforic. I rode my first park session of rails this week and well so I can totally relate to you. Every time you do a trick or ride a new feature it'll hit you, still is for me !!
Just post a link if you can't embed the file. |
I hit my first jumps last season, and yeah it's an incredible feeling - like you just learned to fly.
Of course, now your expectations will just ratchet up a bit :) |

Here's the link to my very first "crappy" YouTube Video! NewB Catchin' "small" Air 4 1st Time 2011.m4v - YouTube Be Gentle! ;) :D |
Nice job you are now on your way to wanting and improving and hitting bigger features.
Everyone started at this point and now it's your turn. Nice job, keep working and progressing  |
Is this a joke? I at least expecting a jump, not some inch high ollie.
|
Awesome! As long as you are having fun that is the only thing that matters. I enjoyed your verbal reaction to it you could tell you were super stoked.

Laugh ALL U want,.. Nobody can piss on my cornflakes today! :D :p ;) (...I suppose for your first jump you "Para-boarded" off the Matterhorn?) I made that run a dozen or so times last night,.. some were barely 3-5 inches off the ground, but some were a good 18 inches or better! And I stuck most of the landings, staying upright & riding to the bottom! So, not too bad considering I'm 51 years old, got arthritis, can't ski, and stepped on a snowboard for the first time last Jan. 2011!! So there!!! "neener neener" :p :D |
