Default Contradictory Skiers

I shared a gondola today at Keystone with a couple of Texan (you could tell by the thick accent) skiers. They were having a conversation about how bummed they were about the lack of powder and that Keystone received the least amount of snow than all the other resorts had from Wednesday's snowstorm. All of the sudden the conversation stopped when they had spotted some fresh corduroy from the gondola and immediately they started talking about how awesome it would be to go down that run. One then asked the other how come they don't groom all the trails. The other skier promptly agreed non groomed runs are stupid and that every run should be a groomer. lol Anyone else spot the incongruity here?

Haha. I guess snow is considered "powder" to Texans?? Even if it's groomed..

Right up there with the kid telling me he was riding sick backcountry at Keystone on the front of the mountain when it hadn't snowed in 2 weeks. I laughed at him.

yup, thats some intense back country

and ya OP, it does not make much sense. Bummed on the lack of pow but want to groom every run? maybe they dont really know what real powder is

This thread is poorly named. I was expecting another bad reason to laugh at skiers.

I still got the laughs but its their Texicanian nature, and not their skierrifficness that leads them down the path of public stupidity.

Texan and skiing is a contradiction but damm they try it anyway...which makes it even more funnier. I'm glad that they don't usually come to pnw.

What do you get when you got 4 skis and a horse?

A Texan riding a ski horse.
