God I love Craigslist

I keep an eye out on CL all the time mining for deals. While occasionally you can stumble across a great deal, far more often than not you stumble across some great laughs.

Here's a few from today:

"great condition", "very minor scratches on the bottom"
Burton snowboard great condition

The Ridge at Loveland is some of the best inbounds terrain in CO. Evidently it's a snowboard too?
Snow Board + Bindings

People out here think Never Summer is worth it's weight in gold, regardless of how old it may be.
Neversummer snowboard / burton bindings
Neversummer Snowboard

some fool trying to sell a mismatched "pair" of bindings

I love how most people have no sense of depreciation. My favorite is "I paid $500 for this". Gues what, someone paid $250 for it in the offseason. People need to realize to sell their shit it is that it is worth less than 50% what they paid for a year later. It's worse than buying a car.

Can tell the binding owner is from the midwest. Strap in the front flow in the back for easy on easy off lift access. Still funny. I see gems all the time. I love the people that want to nickle and dime me when I'm selling next years gear for 150 bucks a pop. It's next years shit ridden 5 times if that and you want to have me drop it another 50 to 75 bucks because you know someone.

Besides the binding one, I'm not seeing the hilarity?

exactly what i was thinking. besides the binding post the boards aren't bad for a newbie trying to score a board instead of renting. for cost of renting board you can buy a more than often better set up for same price of renting. $100 or $150 for board and binding? when your learning it doesn't matter how bad the board is. Not going to be doing crazy shit by 3rd or 4th day to warrant a badass stick

The $150 board is a throw away. It's worthless. The only use for that thing is a park bench. My first board was a $50 special and was in MUCH better shape than that POS.

In addition to asking unrealistic pricing for ancient and out dated gear, I also find it amusing when they don't list the size or model of the board.
