Finally its snowing.

Can't wait to wax that board again...wake up at 4:20 and drive up to Kirkwood alone, watching the sun go up as I pass Jackson on 88 covered in snow...few other hounds going up...respecting each other on the snowed up road. Park under lift 6 and start the morning ritual...hit the restroom, another espresso, gear up and get in line with other smiling faces finally able to ride Kirkwood at its best. Start riding and don't stop until the lift close. Safe and smiling all the way.

This week is looking pretty darn good for CO too.

It's been a really rough season. We had a tremendous dry spell, and it's like every time we actually do get some decent snow, the storm is directly followed by horrendous wind that immediately blows all the snow to Kansas. That's what happened last week. We had good snow for most of the week, then come the weekend here comes the wind, and now we're back to boilerplate again.

Finally! Kirkwood is being hosed...the webcam was in a whiteout...finally. Now if I could only sneak out tomorrow...and get "stuck " up there

Nice! I just hope we can get some decent snow in CO combined with minimal wind. We really need it. The coverage is really low right now. There are a lot of faces that are normally rideable that are scoured to dirt and rock right now. No coverage at all on them.

Man we were expecting 4" we got a foot plus and it keeps snowing I'm a happy man. Kirkwood camk is in a total whiteout..

Anyone heading to Kirkwood from Reno? Tomorrow is my last day here and I can't find a way out there

I was debating a 2nd snowboarding trip to ride of the new snow (I lucked out and hit Jackson right after a storm at the start of the year), but daily highs are already in the 50's and 60's here. I might just cut my losses (bought a powder board that I never used due to bad coverage) and prepare for spring sports instead.

In 2-3 weeks I will probably be mountain biking and playing sand volleyball. Just started target archery last month too.
