As a fellow countryman, I must say I have great respect for Torstein Horgo.

John Jackson - Guy is a beast, not the smoothest and that's cool to see a rider put in work and push himself, you couple that with his power and you get to watch a rider who keeps you on the edge of your seat. It doesn't look effortless and when he pulls it off, your like...WTF, damn bro that sh_t was amazing!!!

Leanne Pelosi - I could watch this female rider all day. She is a cute chick (smile and dimples light up the screen), she can do everything from big booters to rails and concrete walls, she is cute chick (again), but the thing that makes here f-ing cool, is her personality. She let's out, she's goofy, quirky, quick witted and doesn't take stuff to seriously and that is cool to see on screen when teh pressure is on to get paid and nail a ride.

Travis Rice - This bad ass is hands down going down as the Jordan of snowboarding. In the NBA they had the Jordan rules created because of MJ ability to create, his star power, his ability to suck new viewers to the sport of basketball. Michael Jordan craeted new fans for life expanding the NBA to world-wide popularity. TRAVIS RICE is doing the same right now. He has taken his x-games success and turned that into a launching pad and blasted off into another atmosphere taking us along for the ride. Before I board I watch trailers of Art of Flight (buying it with next weeks paycheck) to get the blood rushing before I hit the mountain. Supernatural, which airs end of the month, shows TRICE as a creator/inventor, respected rider who brings others along to elevate their game and status, and then he just reminded us that...oh ya I can execute the plan as well and win the thing with style and grace, power and smoothness, like Jordan dunking ball from the free throw line...EPIC!!! TRICE is the AIR JORDAN of snowboarding.

Quick note - for you Shaun White fans, Shaun White is stud too (my son loves watching him and wearing his Target clothing line), but it seems like he doesn't get the respect of his peers like TRICE and although he could be mentioned in the same breath and sentence, Jordan - even though he slayed everyone on the court, he was still one of the boys, his star shine did not create haters, it created magnetism. That's the difference with TRICE and SW. Other riders, lots of em, want to hang with TRICE.

The cool thing about this sport is that there is new talent catching eyes and growing awareness everyday. I enjoy being a part of it as a fan.

There are so many talented athletes in the sport right now. It makes it more difficult to put a spotlight on a direct few, when so many are worthy of attention.

The obvious list:
Terje Haakonsen
Nicolas Muller
Eric & John Jackson
Jake Blauvelt
Scotty Lago
Jeremy Jones
Mark Landvik
Xaiver De la Rue

I also watch a bunch of Isenseven films and I really dig:
Fips Strauss
Tobi Strauss
Kevin Backstrom
Simon Gruber

Web Series: question.

I also really like Chas Guldemond and Seb Toots, but I find slope style to be somewhat boring. I prefer big mountain riding/freestyle.

If you want to be a chick, a dude, a tent, or a velociraptor be my guest, but if you choose the last one you bet your ass I will have a spaz-12 to your face.
